Stub may refer to:
- A stub, mature tree cut above a height of 3-5 metres and retained as a standing stem following timber harvest, usually for wildlife or archaeological purposes. (All other meanings are metaphors of this.)
- A method stub, in computer programming
- A stub network, in computer networking
- A stub (circuit), a calculated length section of transmission line used to match impedance in transmission lines
- A piece of work of a greater calculation in distributed computing
- A short railway or bus line
- An unequal first or last interest calculation period, usually as a part of a swap contract
- A pay stub, usually a receipt or record that the employer has paid their employee
- A ticket stub, which, once a ticket is collected, is usually the remaining end of the ticket
- Ambrosius Stub, a Danish poet
- A docked tail of a dog is also known as a stub
