Stuart McGugan

Stuart McGugan is a Scottish actor, born 2 March 1944, in Stirling, Scotland.

Stuart was first seen on television as a presenter on BBC's Play School in 1964, but he is probably best known for playing Bomba MacAteer in Tutti Frutti (British TV show), and Gunner 'Atlas' Mackintosh in the BBC sitcom It Ain't Half Hot Mum.

He appeared as Gordon Stewart in two series of LWT's Wish Me Luck between 1988 and 1989 and more recently in Family Affairs in 1997 as the character Derek Simpson. He has been seen most recently in a national theatre tour of "Tunes of Glory" by James Kennaway. The stage play is adapted from the 60s movie starring Alec Guinness and John Mills, and Stuart McGugan plays Colonel Jock Sinclair, originally played by Guinness. The production visits Jersey, Wolverhampton and Perth this year.
