Stuart Hall (musician)

Stuart Hall is a multi-intrumentalist from the UK. He is equally renowned for his talent on violin, guitar and double bass, and several less mainstream string instruments such as the oud, pedal steel, bouzouki, saz, banjo, kemence, tres, lyra & gudulka.
He has recorded with Lol Coxhill, Human Chain, Django Bates, Steve Arguelles, Billy Jenkins, Frevo, Orquestra Mahatma, Martin Speake’s Fever Pitch, Alec & John Dankworth’s Generation Big Band. His credits include Tim Berne and Hungry Ants
He has worked with Loose Tubes, Hermeto Pascoal, and the Ritz Tea Dance Band. He performs medieval music in Belinda Sykes' Joglaresa, and formed the Hermetologists, playing the music of Hermeto Pascoal, with Huw Warren, Eddie Parker and Martin France.

He joined the faculty of the Jamey Aebersold Jazz Summer School in 1999. He is the leader of the BA Jazz Course at Middlesex University. He has also taught at the Royal Academy of Music.
