Stuart Green (born 15 June 1981 in Whitehaven) is an English professional footballer currently playing for Crystal Palace.

He had previously played for Hull City and at the time of leaving was their longest serving player, arriving on a season long loan from Newcastle United in 2002.

An attacking midfielder who is often used on the right hand side of midfield, Green joined Hull following a successful six month loan period. Peter Taylor paid £150k for Green's services just before the club moved to the KC Stadium. Green scored in the first league game at the stadium in a 2-0 victory over league leaders Hartlepool United.

After being constantly linked back with a move to Carlisle United he went there on loan until the end of the season after falling out with Taylor. Subsequently he fell out with manager Roddy Collins and was thrown off the Carlisle team coach. He returned to Hull.

Green remained a first team squad member at Hull. He turned down a move to MK Dons in January 2006 in order to fight for a regular place in the Hull team, which he did not gain, as he followed Taylor to Palace on deadline day of the summer 2006 transfer window, for £75,000. Though there was not much excitement over the signing, Green duly scored on his full debut.
