==Welcome== Hello Strongbad1982 and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you've chosen to join us. This is a great project with lots of dedicated people, which might seem intimidating at times, but don't let anything discourage you. Be bold!, explore, and contribute. Try to be civil by following simple guidelines and signing your talk comments with ~~~~ but never forget that one of our central tenets is to ignore all rules.

Float around until you find something that tickles your fancy. One easy way to do this is to hit the random page button in the navigation bar to the left. Additionally, the Community Portal offers a more structured way to become acquainted with the many great committees and groups that focus on specific tasks. My personal favorite stomping grounds are Wikipedia:Translation into English as well as the cleanup, welcoming, and counter-vandalism committees. Finally, the Wikimedia Foundation has several other wiki projects that you might enjoy. If you have any more questions, always feel free to ask me anything on my talk page. Again, welcome! -- Draeco 07:59, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Uscontinentalclimatemap.PNG

Thanks for uploading Image:Uscontinentalclimatemap.PNG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:12, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] licensing

Hi there! I'm in the process of taking your image and converting it to PNG and also making it easier to read. I have a question tho about licensing on the image i will create. I mean i understand you created it and its public domain now but since I'm still using elements of your map I have to attribute to you don't I? Because of that i wouldn't know how to best license the picture. Would you have any ideas? Thanks for your help.

[edit] Great

Great, thanks for that. I'll put up the new image as soon as I can. Blah0401 22:04, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Map on the Humid subtropical climate page

Please stop removing the map I created and worked with CrazyC83 and Heff01 on revising. Since the map you keep posting is obviously an exact copy of mine, and since you reverted once without explanation, it seems like you are attempting to take credit for the work of others. If you would like to improve upon the map in some way, I have no problem with you taking a copy and making changes that are justifiable (I did create is as a public domain work), but what you are doing isn't helpful to the project, since by unlinking the map you are removing the discussion history from the article where it belongs (and helps others in critiquing it).--Caliga10 04:01, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Actually, I see that you have indeed made some adjustments to the map now (from the discussion page related to the article). Please accept my apologies, but I would have preferred that you restored your adjusted map with some explanation so I was clued in on what you were doing and why (please summarize your changes when you edit articles).--Caliga10 04:06, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
