An IS is an Information System...

[edit] Constantine and DFDs

It surprised me to see Larry Constantine listed as "inventor" of dataflow diagrams. Is there any documentation for this claim? DFDs have been around for a long time. —rodii 15:42, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

If you want to go really far back, we used flow diagrams involving decks of cards back in 1959 (when I got into the business), and probably several years earlier, but we didn't have the acronym DFD then... Jpaulm 20:08, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
