[edit] Timeline/Plot Holes?

According to StrayDog, Koichi returns to Japan in 1991. But in Akai Megane, he returns in 1998...?

Also, when he leaves, he leaves by himself on helicopter. In Akai Megane, though, he, Midori, and Ao are escaping in a stolen Jeep to a rendezvous point with a helicopter to take them out of Japan.
