Talk:Strained silicon

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] Reads like stereo instructions

In the semiconductor literature "strained Si" is used somewhat ambiguously to apply to any process which uses strain engineering to effect enhanced device performance. This article reads like a laundry list of these ambiguously defined strained Si applications and is self-contradictory as a consequence. Maybe a more generic post on strain engineering including all prominent strategies? Irene Ringworm 22:04, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

There is a similar process which pushes the atoms together... I don't remember what the process is called but it is used in conjunction with strained silicon. Maybe someone can research that.
