Strutt (cycles)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Strutt was a small UK supplier of folding bicycles in the late 1990's. The Strutt Meteor had a steel frame with a single, hinged fold held closed by two screws when the bike was unfolded, 20in wheels, an eight-speed rear derailleur with single chainring or a 7*3 format.

It rode well compared to other medium-priced folders then on the market, but it was bulky when folded and had a couple of design weaknesses - inadequate tyre clearance and for the eight-speed version, too large a range of gears which meant the chain kept falling off[citation needed]. For these reasons it never became popular.
