Strum is a village in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin, along the Buffalo River. The population was 1,001 at the 2000 census.

Strum is located at GR1.
(44.550388, -91.391904)According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.0 km² (1.2 mi²). 2.8 km² (1.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it (6.84%) is water.
Strum is home of Crystal Lake. A resovior on the Buffulo River it is home to Trout, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, and Northern Pike.
The Buffulo River flows from west of Osseo to the Mississippi River and is a trout stream from Strum east.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 1,001 people, 411 households, and 249 families residing in the village. The population density was 354.6/km² (920.7/mi²). There were 434 housing units at an average density of 153.7/km² (399.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.90% White, 0.60% from other races, and 0.50% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.40% of the population.
There were 411 households out of which 30.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.6% were married couples living together, 7.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.4% were non-families. 35.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 20.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.31 and the average family size was 3.00.
In the village the population was spread out with 25.4% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 27.6% from 25 to 44, 17.8% from 45 to 64, and 23.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 99.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.4 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $29,408, and the median income for a family was $40,938. Males had a median income of $33,750 versus $20,179 for females. The per capita income for the village was $18,492. About 6.6% of families and 6.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 2.0% of those under age 18 and 15.8% of those age 65 or over.

Strum is part of the Eleva-Strum Central School District.
Eleva and Strum each house an elementary school.
The High School is located between the two towns on US Hwy. 10

Strum is home to four city parks. Three which are located along water.
The city is also home to the Viking Recreational Area which includes a golf coarse and shooting range. The golf coarse which is a 9-hole 36 stroke par coarse is located along Hwy 10. A campground is located at the coarse.
The Buffulo River trail runs through the city. The ATV and Bicycle trail runs from Fairchild to Mondovi along an old railroad bed and can be accessed at any road crossing.

Strum is home of the Beef River Bullfrogs an amateur baseball team in the CRBL. Founded by Stan Lokken Beef River has been competitive in the league since its founding in 1996. In the team's inaugural game that same year Travis A. Holte recorded the first RBI, taking four balls with the bases loaded (He now plays professional poker in London England). The Bullfrogs play at Spangberg Park named after longtime mayor Ruby Spangberg.
