Structure of State Government in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There are 151 departments/agencies that are considered "State Government" in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. However, there are many other independent boards, commissions, or quasi-public agencies as well. It is difficult to divide the 151 departments into the 3 branches (Legislative, Judicial, and Executive) because there are departments where the Governor has little to no control over its operations.
