Strong, Mississippi

Strong, Mississippi, is a village in Monroe County in the U.S. state of Mississippi.

Strong is located at 33°41′43″N, 88°36′16″W southwest of Aberdeen. According to the United States Geological Survey, variant names are Strongs and Strongs Station.

Village had a cotton gin in its early days and town was called Strong Gin. The sign welcoming visitors to the town was continually stolen, so local officials shortened its name to Strong. Methodist Church here dates back to 1830s.
