Stroller (style)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A stroller is mens' semi-formal daywear, consisting of a grey or black single breasted lounge suit jacket with peaked lapels and usually single button closure. It is worn with a grey or silver necktie, and formal striped trousers. A dove grey waistcoat (vest in American English) is worn for ceremonial events but for funerals a black waistcoat is worn. Strollers are worn at daytime ceremonial events such as by the groom at a wedding. In Europe and the Commonwealth, morning dress is more commonly worn for daytime formal events but strollers are more common in the United States. The stroller is the daytime semi-formal equivalent of the dinner jacket (tuxedo in American English) which is an evening semi-formal garment. Morning dress is the daytime formal dress equivalent of white tie with tail coat (which is evening formal dress).
