StripTease is a webcomic written and illustrated by Chris Daily. It is hosted on Keenspot.

The strip details the life of Max and his career as an artist for independent comic book "Neato-People." As Max spends most of his time thinking up and drawing action comics, his ability to differentiate real life and fiction is somewhat diminished. This may be for the best, as he encounters his fair share of real life adventure on a regular basis. Between bungled relationships and attempts at sabotage from rival comic "Bloody Onions," things are never dull.

[edit] Characters

Max [1]
After finishing art school, Max started working on his own independent comic book, NEATO-PEOPLE. He pencils the book, and helps come up with the plots. Max works on the book with Emily, his long time friend. He also has an unhealthy fascination with pasta, soda, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When he's not daydreaming about his female characters, or finding caffeine, Max is drawing. He's pretty naive, and tends to worry about a lot of small things. He was dating another comic book artist, Alli, but they decided to be just friends.
Emily [2]
Emily is Max's best friend since high school, and has joined forces with him to work on NEATO-PEOPLE. Emily is the more responsible of the two, and has to work hard to keep Max on his deadlines. She writes the comic, as well as handles the business aspects of promotion and distribution. She's a strict, no nonsense kinda gal, and usually gets right to the point. Emily is now in a steady relationship with Tommy, who also works for her. She tries not to let that get in the way of having a good time.
Rachael [3]
Rachael is a talented singer and actress, and is the lead singer in Willy's band Bohica Mouse. Rachael is also good friends with Emily, who introduced her to Max in college. After dating Max for two years, she cheated on him, and they have only recently started talking again. We also know that Rachael and Naomi had a relationship in college. After briefly returning to Max, Rachael came out as a lesbian.
Tommy [4]
When Max and Emily needed help finishing issue 2 of NEATO-PEOPLE, Tommy was hired at the last minute, after Inker Search 2000. He's had five years inking experience on small press comics, and NEATO-PEOPLE is his first superhero book. Tommy apparently used to be a bit of a player, but he's extremely kindhearted and likes to help out the rest of the crew whenever he can. He tries not to think about the fact that his girlfriend, Emily, is also his boss.
Alli [5]
Alli is also a comic book penciller, and Max's recent ex -girlfriend. She is very sarcastic, but has a kind heart. She and Max met briefly in art school, but never really had a chance to talk until they both started working in comics. She was working for a rival comic book company, drawing the very popular CAPTAIN DYNAMITE! Alli was then hired by Tiny Rhino Studios, located in England. After certain events, she's moved back in town with Max and the gang, and shares an apartment with Emily. She and Max are just friends...right now.
Chip [6]
Chip is Max's roommate. He doesn't seem to do much except drink, eat, sleep, and switch jobs every month. Chip is seldom around when he's needed, and always around when he's not wanted. He does not read comic books, but does not hesitate in giving Max his opinions on comic book women.
Willy [7]
Willy means well, even if he doesn't really go about things in a normal fashion. Because he was afraid of being labeled as a "gay guitarist" in his small town, he decided to come to the city to start up his own band, BOHICA MOUSE. No one knows if he has a boyfriend.
Damion [8]
Yup, he's a goth. Damion works at the local coffee bar, Hypno Coffee, but is not very happy about it. He requires at least six cups of java a day to keep him from going into violent fits. He plays drums in Willy's band, Bohica Mouse.
Kim [9]
Kim was Rachael's tough talking, high voltage roommate in college for three years. She's a punk rock chick from New York, and has a very wide assortment of spiked attire. She doesn't mind speaking her thoughts, and likes doing the dirty work. She recently returned to the story line [10], as a lawyer who is gonna help Allie "get back her life".
Pu Yai [11]
Pu Yai Bahn was the last and key ingredient to Willy's band, Bohica Mouse. Even though they were looking for a bass player, this Thai "keyboard master" became the surprise final addition to the band. He doesn't speak much English, though.
Sergei [12]
Sergei is the chill Russian exchange student who decided not to leave. He is Nate's fencing partner, and they are usually always together. Sergei gets his advice from strange communist philosophies... as such no one is really sure what he's talking about. He and Nate were roommates in college. His current whereabouts are unknown.
Nate [13]
Nate is Sergei's best friend and nemesis. They are fencing partners, and they are usually always fencing. Nate is a bit more gung ho than Sergei, which tends to get him into trouble sometimes. Nate later shared a house with Max in college. His current whereabouts are not known.
Rob [14]
Rob is a film student, with big hopes of turning his small films into big movies. He also lives with Tommy. He is a film buff, keeps his room amazingly organized, and can defeat anyone in a game of Trivial Pursuit. Rob doesn't really care much for comic books, but is supportive of Tommy and his work.
Naomi ???
Naomi is Alli's identical twin sister. The physical resemblance is uncanny, but their personalities couldn't be more different. Naomi has a major grudge against Alli, and seems to want to cause her, and all her friend, LOTS of suffering. Naomi recently apologized to Alli for the trouble she caused before dieing of a brain tumor.
Trenton Dubilasco [15]
Trenton is, according to Max, "one creepy dude." He is the creator of the successful dark theamed comic book, Bloody Onions. Trenton and Max met at Super-Con 2001 in a panel on comic book villains. He believes that the type of comics that Max creates are merely fluff, and is out to get rid of them. Trenton lives in England, far away from the, "Silly Americans!"
