Street Fighter Marketing

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Street Fighter Marketing, or Street Fighting for short, is any efficient, measurable, and low cost delivery method of an effective message that influences a buying decision culminating in a sale.

In some respects, Street Fighting turns marketing back a half century or more to a time when marketing was less inefficient, costly, and confusing. To overcome the increasing inefficiencies of modern marketing, the boundaries between all of these related subsets of marketing, (i.e., advertising, promotions, public relations, sponsorships, direct mail, sales, etc.) must become blurred.

It was created in 1980 by Jeff Slutsky (born April 4, 1956) who is the author of many books on the subject including

  • Streetfighting: Low Cost Marketing for Your Business (Prentice Hall, 1985);
  • Street Smart Tele-Selling (Prentice Hall, 1990);
  • How To Get Clients(Warner Books, 1995)
  • The Street Fighter Marketing Solution(Simon And Schuster, 2007) ISBN 1-4165-4615-4
  • Street Fighter Marketing Solutions: How One-On-One Marketing(r) Will Help You Overcome the Challenges of Modern-Day Salesmanship (Free press, 2007) ISBN 0743299140

He was also the presenter of a seminar on a DVD : Street Smart Selling & Marketing - Innovative Tactics for Taking Your Client Base To A Whole New Level (February, 2005); ASIN B000KJU1PK
