Stream recorder

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stream recorder, also called a stream ripper, is a computer program capable of saving data stream (containing for instance encoded music or video from a radio or a TV channel respectively) to a file instead of playing it straightaway. The software records any sound that passes through the computer's sound-card.So even the music in games can be recorded. Most of these recorders are free.Though intended for recording legally,it is sometimes used to record music that has to be payed for to be downloaded.
