Strangelove, sometimes abbreviated SLV, is a modification for the first-person shooter game Unreal Tournament. This adds two weapons to the game: an automatic pistol called the Stinger (Yellow Jacket) and the Strangelove nuclear missile launcher. Most commonly it is played in Strangelove Arena mode where the Stinger (Yellow Jacket) and Strangelove are the only weapons available in the game. However, many different configurable options are available -- the Stinger (Yellow Jacket) can be disabled entirely for a game consisting entirely of nuclear arsenal, and a non-arena mode option is available to simply replace the default Redeemer weapons with Strangelove weapon pickups while leaving all other normal weapons playable. Some maps may also incorporate Strangelove weapons as pickups on servers which may not run the full Strangelove mutator.

The player has two firing options for the Strangelove launcher. Missiles can be fired like a standard direct-fire weapon (functioning very much like the Redeemer in unguided mode), or the player can hop on and ride a launched missile. Once riding a missile, the player can control the direction and velocity, as well as arm or disarm the nuclear warhead. The riding player may also shoot or jump off while the missile continues on its course.

The mod was inspired by the ending scene of the film Dr. Strangelove, where B-52 pilot Major T. J. "King" Kong, played by actor Slim Pickens, accidentally (but enthusiastically) rides an armed H-bomb dropped from his bomber. In fact, many of the sound and music effects employed by the mod are adapted from the film.

The tip of the missile says "Say AHHH!"
