[edit] Plot
Set in Strangehaven, a remote town somewhere in the United Kingdom, it details the sometimes mysterious lives of the inhabitants. The protagonist is Alex Hunter, a newcomer to Stangehaven, who discovered the town by accident when he gets lost on the road and ends up in a car crash not far from the town. Town residents find him and bring him there. He immediately is attracted to Janey Jones, the daughter of the school master, who works as the doctor's receptionist, who convinces him to stay in the town and helps him move in. However, there are many secrets hidden under the surface of the tow, including a secret society known as The Knights of the Golden Light, talking animals, a witch doctor from Brazil named Emmanuel Megaron, and a man who claims he is (and may very well be) an extraterrestrial being. Additionally, Alex is plagued by strange nightmares of a dead woman whom he saw on the road the night of the crash.
