Strange Thing

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Strange Thing" is an unrealeased song by British band Oasis, and was written by lead guitarist Noel Gallagher around late 1992, early 1993 before the band even had a record deal.

The song itself is quite a heavy song with a focus on the lead guitar rather than driving chords which oasis made their name on. The chorus is more meaningful than later songs and shows a more direct attempt at meaning by Noel with "you won't get / you don't get / what you need / life is a strange thing."

The song is the only track of the original demo tape that preceded their début album to not be released in any form.
