Strafford Club of the University of St Andrews

The Strafford Club is a private gentleman’s dining club with no fixed home that operates within the University of St Andrews. The Club campaigns in favour of Monarchy in Britain and around the World. The club is modelled on and has superseded similar institutions that have existed in St Andrews. There are also Strafford Clubs at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge in England. All three Clubs are named after Thomas Wentworth, 1st Earl of Strafford

There are nearly 200 current, old and honorary members including:

Members are unanimously elected by current members who are all undergraduates, graduates or employees of the University of St Andrews. There are a maximum of 30 current members at any time. The current Chancellor is Donald Findlay QC.

The Strafford club is occasionally supported by The Constitutional Monarchy Association.
