Strømsgodset

Strømsgodset is a former municipality in Buskerud county, Norway, today a part of the city of Drammen.
It was created as Strømsgodset formannskapsdistrikt in 1837. In 1843 it was incorporated into Skoger municipality and at the same time moved to Larvik og Jarlsberg amt. Before the merger Strømsgodset had a population of 731.
In 1964 Strømsgodset was made part of Drammen (in Buskerud) when Skoger was merged with Drammen.
Today, Strømsgodset is known mainly for its football team, Strømsgodset I.F..
