Sure, here's the deal. Wikipedia has a number of guiding principles, one of which is the external links policy, which dictates what types of links can be listed on articles. On that page, under "Links normally to be avoided", is listed (#3), "A website that you own or maintain, even if the guidelines above imply that it should be linked to." Also, #4: "Links that are added to promote a site, that primarily exist to sell products or services". Your site fails on both counts, and thus should not be included. Wikipedia is a source of information, not a place for businesses to advertise. We welcome contributions of sourced information, so if you'd like to help expand Robot welding, you are free to do so, but please stop adding your link. --Spangineeres (háblame) 15:11, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- I honestly can't see how you're able to call the two equivalent. Statements like "We integrate the most advanced arc welding robots in the industry", "We Buy Robots", and "Contact us today to find out just what options you and your business have" are blatant advertising, and are right on the front page. Compare that to the main page text of the other page, which is "This site shall provide you with information about robot arc welding, robot spot welding and robot welding equipment. It shall be your information source when informing yourself about robot welding theory and trends." Totally, totally different. Glancing through the pages on both sites, I see that they tend to mirror what appears on their respective main pages—one contains blatant "use our services" throughout, and the other contains information only. --Spangineeres (háblame) 19:36, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
