[edit] "Monitoring"

I saw your comment on your userpage. I'm not "monitoring" you. What happened is, I have my Preferences set so that any page I post an edit to goes on my Watchlist. Since I commented on your talkpage during the WVU discussion, your page wound up on my Watchlist, along with about 800 others now, and so I saw the edit summaries of what was going on. It's not that I was tracking you in particular. Newyorkbrad 23:39, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

I meant it more of a good thing, not a bad thing. Nothing against you. You're a cool guy. --StonedChipmunk 23:40, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your userpage

Since you are becoming an expert on anti-vandal policies, take a look at WP:DENY and WP:RBI and consider whether having a list of people who've vandalized on your userpage is a good idea. Regards, Newyorkbrad 23:14, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Now that you mention it, it's not that useful. Thanks for the insight. --StonedChipmunk 23:19, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Here's another interesting one for you to look at if you want: Wikipedia:Revert, block, ignore. All the best, --Guinnog 15:25, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Oops. I see Brad beat me to it. Never mind, it's the thought that counts. --Guinnog 15:25, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thank you for your help. I'm sure we will be good friends here Mr Rookles 16:31, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Help? What? Oh well, friends it is... *Adds to friend list* --StonedChipmunk 00:16, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Javascript

I'm sorry, I don't really understand js myself. Good luck sorting it out. --Guinnog 23:25, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Topaz's Wikiscripts

While the formatting of your javascripts shouldn't be a problem, you can put

//<pre><nowiki>

at the top and

//</nowiki></pre>

at the bottom; that should correct the formatting. As far as modding the statuschanger script, that's not a bad idea. I never planned for someone to try it, so the script itself isn't designed to handle changes like that, but all you should really need to do beyond what you have so far is change all instances of topaz.statuschanger to something unique (like topaz.statuschanger_avm) and remove the line near the top that specifies the script version. You already have it set to alter /AVM instead, so that shouldn't be a problem. Try that and see what happens. ~Topaz 10:06, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AntiVandalMeter

Well done on the AVM; I'm glad to see that it's working. On pages that talk about it (like User:StonedChipmunk/AntiVandalMeter, for example), just make sure to give credit where credit is due. ~Topaz 20:18, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:EasFull.ogg

This audio file, which you created, has an error in it. It times the SAME "EOM" data bursts between the header code data bursts and attention signal, when the "EOM" data bursts really occur after the EAS voice announcement. Could you please fix this? -- Denelson83 01:18, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A humble request from bezking

Hey SC, Greetings from me, Bezking! I'm not sure if you recall, but I was 1st to join WVC before it was shut down, and I have a question for you. I am currently in editor review, and was wondering if you could take a sec to write something. I hope to become an admin someday, but not for a while. Thanks! --Bezking 01:32, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Scottish island template

I have been working on a new infobox to use for Scottish islands. A draft of the infobox is here (on the rhs of the page). Clearly there is something I have not understood, and I am sure it is something simple, but I can't find what I am looking for amidst the blizzard of Help jargon. I tried copying it to Template:X1 and then posting {X1} (with two braces) to a page. The infobox appeared but with the data fields presented as in the template (e.g. {{{area}}}), and when I went to edit the box on that page all there was, was {X1}. Looking at other templates transcluded into pages I imagine I should see a nice user-friendly list to add data too. I have not therefeore had the confidence to post a new page 'Template:Infobox Scottish island' yet. Apologies if I am being dense - any assistance gratefully received. [edit] Re: Reply to SAME EOM data burst whatever

That's correct. Long data bursts, then attention signal, then voice message, then short EOM data bursts. -- Denelson83 02:59, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Infobox Scottish island

I think I have this worked out - certainly when I created the above new page it appeared (more or less) as expected when copied into my sandbox. You said: "And to make it so you see the template code instead of the actual template, place and around the template code." I'm afraid I don't follow this however. Thanks for your help. [edit] Im still here

I know, they blocked me for no good reason, I operate under 1B6 now.

thanks for being interested, at least one member of the so called 'community' cares still.

1B6 12:21, 23 January 2007 (UTC) formerly suicidal tendancies...

[edit] Mabey

Yeah, I think the wiki engine is buggered, or mabey it wants me to change my username again, we'll never know...! 1B6 14:00, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Shout Out

Hey man... just saw what you wrote about me on your page.. thanks! Yeah, laptop was stolen. Finally went out and bought a new one with money I don't have. I am back now and trying to get back in the swing of things. Liking the new layout, but don't worry, I won't be stealing anything this time. :) Stoneice02 01:03, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
