Tropical Storm Cindy was a weak tropcial storm that formed during the 1993 Atlantic hurricane season. The third named storm of the 1993 season, Cindy on August 14, 1993 in the far eastern Caribbean as a tropical depression. Cindy then quickly strengthened into a tropical storm hours later as it passed over the Leeward Islands. Cindy reached a peak intensity of 45 mph and a barometric pressure of 1007 millibars before making landfall in Hispanola on August 16. Cindy then dissapated rapidly the following day.
