Cyclone Favio (also known offically as as Intense Tropical Cyclone Favio and Cyclone 09R by both the Tropical Cyclone Centre in Mauritis and RSMC La Reunion and Cyclone 14S by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center) was the sixth named storm and second intense tropical cyclone of the 2006-2007 South Indian Ocean tropical cyclone season (which is part of the 2006-2007 Southern Hemisphere tropical cyclone season.

Favio formed on Feburary 12, 2007 in the Western Indian Ocean as a tropical depression and moved southwestward where it became a tropical storm on February 14. On February 19, Favio became a tropical cyclone as it brushed past Madagascar. Favio then continued westward where it struck Mozambique after reaching a peak intesnsity as a Category 4 equivelent cyclone. Favio then dissapated a day after making landfall.

Favio caused extensive wind and flood damage in Madagascar and Mozambique. Favio heavy rainfall furhter worsened the flooding in the flooding in Mozambique which was already ravaging the country since December 2006. There were four confirmed fatalites as a result of Favio.
