Talk:Storm of the Century

Another summary could be found at Legion (demon). I moved it here, maybe it can be merged. <KF> 21:23, Apr 4, 2005 (UTC)
A man known as Andre Linoge mysteriously shows up on Little Tall Island, an island off the coast of Maine before a major snowstorm in 1989. Linoge murders several citizens of this island with his supernatural powers. The town constable in the movie explains later in the movie that Linoge could actually be the demon Legion. The movie also makes reference to the quotes from the bible and also states the a possibility that may have happened for the true American mystery legend of Roanoke Island, NC in the 17th Century. Also, Little Talls Island's residents fate is imagined to end up being very similar to the herd of pigs from the story in the bible.
[edit] Linoge is NOT DEFINATLY a demon
hi there
Storm of the century is one of my favourite movie so I did some research a few years ago about the character Legion. He is a demon from hell ( as describe in the bible ) but if I'm not mistaken, he should be a wizzard according to the movie.
Hint in the movie:
1) he hissed in the back of Mike's truck 2) the eyes: once black, then glowing red 3) the silver walking cane with a wolf head (wolf, an animal often associate with wizzards)
From the clues above, I reckon he's more of a wizzard then a demon.
- 1) Why shouldn't a demon be able to hiss and bare fangs? (Actually, I've never ever seen a wizard do this.) 2) Yeah, right, we've NEVER seen demons with glowing red eyes before. 3) The only hint that I find relevant... Conclusion: Nope, I'm pretty sure he's a demon alright. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.228.148.45 (talk) 18:55, 15 December 2006 (UTC).
I agree that he is some kind of demonic wizard, sorcerer,or specter; I just cannot believe him to be a demon. I think he is the same person who played flagg from that other Steven King movie. 11:56 15 February 2007 (UTC) Starcomet
[edit] Added "Spoiler" Section
I added a spoiler section to the page because I felt that the current plot synopsis read like a tv advertisement; it didn't really tell anything about the plot, or the ending.
[edit] The Nature of Linoge
What exactly is the mysterious Mr. Linoge?
I believe it is most likely that he is some kind of sorceror, and that he was originally a human (although he may have been corrupted by now into some kind of demonic form). The fact that he is not immortal, and needs a human heir, certainly suggests the above.
I added in that he could also be a demonic sorcerer. Starcomet
