Stove King

Stove King (born Steven King, 8 January 1974, in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire) is an English bassist and was previously a member of the rock band, Mansun.
King formed Mansun with Paul Draper. Having not picked up an instrument prior to the formation of Mansun, King went on to become a solid bass guitar player and a pivotal member of Mansun, especially when it came to promoting the band. At one point, he had an answerphone installed in his house to update fans on news and also receive messages from them.
King departed the band after several recording sessions for the album, Kleptomania, leaving many unconfirmed rumours as to why he left. The bassist's departure was not publicised nor commented upon, but eventually came to light months after the band's demise.
