Stourport-on-Severn High School

Stourport On Severn High School or Stourport Language College and 6th form centre, opened to students in 1956. It was built to replace the Stourport Secondary Modern School, which is now Lickhill Middle. The current head teacher is Elizabeth Quinn.

The School is a specialised Language College offering a wide range of languages. The school also offers trips to countries like Japan, China, Germany, Spain, France and many others. The School also has a 6th form centre for further education. The High School is changing from a 3 tiered to a 2 tiered educational system, which means the school after Summer 2007 will accept pupils from the age of 11 to 18. The school is due to be demolished along with Burlish Primary and Middle school in 2011 to make way for a new, larger state of the art High School.

The school motto is Carpe Diem which means Seize the day.
