Stomp rocket
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A stomp rocket is a toy rocket that is powered by compressed air. This is a trademarked name, the owner being Fred Ramirez, President of D&L Company. Unfortunately the term, 'stomp rocket' has been genericized, much like 'xerox' or 'kleenex'. D&L manufactured the first stomp rocket ever in the early 1990's and has not stopped since. Since then, there have been many clones, or knock-offs that have appeared on the market.
Stomp rockets have an air bag that is stomped on, the air rushes through a tube into the body of the rocket which causes it to lift into the sky. Stomp rockets are extremely popular. There are two versions available: (1) the Ultra Stomp Rocket, travels about 200 feet, and (2) the Junior Stomp Rocket, travels about 100 feet.
