Stoke Newington School Media Arts College

Stoke Newington School is a college of Media Arts & Science, situated Stoke Newington, Greater London. The school was formed in 1995 following the merger of Clissold School and Woodberry Down School, with Stoke Newington being situated on the site of Clissold School. Media Arts status was granted by the DfES (Department for Education and Skills) in 2002 and thus the title 'Media Arts College' was added to the school. The title 'Media Arts & Science College' was awarded by the DfES (Department for Education and Skills) in 2005 and has been in use since 2006.
The school itself is overly subscribed and is one of the most successful state schools in North London. In each year group, 240 children are admitted in accordance to whether or not they have a sibling currently studying at SNS or how close they live within the 1KM radius catchment area.
