Stod is a former municipality in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway.

It was created in 1837 as Stod formannskapsdistrikt. On 23 January 1858 the city of Steinkjer was separated from Stod to constitute a separate administrative unit. Later on the rural districts Egge (1 January 1869) and Kvam (1 January 1909) were separated from Stod, leaving Stod with a population of 934.

On 1 January 1964 Stod was incorporated into Steinkjer municipality, along with Egge, Kvam, Ogndal, Beitstad and Sparbu. Prior to the merger Stod had a population of 1,268.
