Stockholm Centre of Public Health

Stockholm Centre of Public Health is run by the health authorities in Stockholm, Sweden. Its purpose is to be a centre for the development of evidence based action plans, prevention and treatment for a wide range of public health problems including tobacco, AIDS, obesity, passive lifestyle, psychiatric health, alcohol and drugs. The centre runs the Swedish tobacco quitline and is presently developing an alcohol quitline (helpline). Stockholm Centre of Public Health works in close cooperation with the Karolinska Institutet medical school.
