"Still a Thrill" was the second single from Jody Watley's self-titled debut, Jody Watley. "Still a Thrill" was a successful R&B and dance song in 1987, but performed poorly on the US pop chart peaking at number 56 and in the UK reaching number 77, this was considered a failure after her previous single "Looking for a New Love, peaked number two in the US, and top twenty in the UK. This single was rumored that the beat to this song was produced by Prince. Later it was true.
