"Stick to the Status Quo" is a song from the popular Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical. The song also appears on the soundtrack by the same name. It is sung by the minor cast of High School Musical and has solos by Chris Warren Jr. (Zeke), Kaycee Stroh (Martha Cox), and Dutch Whitlock (Skaterdude). Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay) and Lucas Grabeel (Ryan) sing in it as well.

"Stick to the Status Quo" is performed by the students of East High after it is discovered that Troy auditioned for the winter musicale. It is a song about students throughout the school breaking free from their stereotypes to pursue passions deemed unacceptable by the school's social order. An extensive dance sequence is weaved into this Broadway-esque number.

Stick to the Status Quo was another success for the soundtrack on iTunes Music managed to chart. However, the single was the first song from the soundtrack to not debut at the Top 40.
