[edit] SJB's Shop (EBAY)

A tag has been placed on SJB's Shop (EBAY), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Davidprior 18:54, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

  • No, I'm not applying for an RFA until about June of 2007. Thanks for your comments. Tellyaddict 12:55, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] distribution

Hello. It's really not all that useful to write "probability distribution" with only the second word in brackets, because the page titled distribution is not about probability distributions, but rather is a disambiguation page linking to many things having nothing to do with probability. Indecomposable distribution already has a very conspicuous link in the first sentence to probability distribution. It's also not clear why you wait until about the fifth or sixth occurrence of the phrase "probability distribution" to put in a link. Michael Hardy 01:22, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your VandalProof Application

Dear Steven130793,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that at this time you do not meet the minimum requirement of 250 edits to mainspace articles (see under main here). Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. Daniel Bryant 22:13, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "distribution"

It really doesn't make sense to link to distribution (as you did in indecomposable distribution) if you mean probability distribution, since the former is (of course) a disambiguation page, not a page about probability distributions. Michael Hardy 22:41, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Northumbria Flying School, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Tellyaddict 18:10, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Just because I know you in real life I cannot ignore the rules, your comments on my user talk page could be seen as violating WP:NPA. The pricing section is a copyright violation of here and could be seen as WP:SPAM and the staff section is a copyright violation of here. Even if you did not copy and paste then it has clearly been re-typed in exactly the same words and making it appear like a copyright violation. Tellyaddict 19:07, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] hello

have u seen your page on Northumbria Flying School!!!! Gamezmaster 18:13, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Geeeezz

I thought user pages were only supposed to be blocked if chosen in bad faith (Hey I'm new at this and it's a username I use in many places for many reasons). Do I at least get a chance to find out what was so offensive? It might help me to find a better username? Legoogle 22:17, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

...assume good faith and don't bite the newcomers?

[edit] Ford45

I do not think you are familiar with WP:USERNAME, you left a comment on the user talk page of Ford45 saying that it was inappropriate, Ford does not always refer to the car manufacturer and is a common second name, as well as this please place {{Username-Warn}} on the user talk page if you think a username is a violation, adding a template saying the username is blocked should only be added by admins or if you ask permission of the blocking admin if he/she does not have time, Ford45 is not blocked. You may have been seen as impersonating a sysop which is prohibited on Wikipedia. Please remember not to bite the newcomers and [{WP:AGF|assume good faith]] as mentioned by another user above. Anyway I thought I'd better make you aware of this. Happy editing! Tellyaddict 12:11, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] PROD

[edit] Slicer

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Slicer, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
