[edit] Looking for help with Deletion of Image
Can this "debate" and deletion be fair or correct? Image talk:A Theoben Gas Ram.jpg
- Can you show us that image using e.g. [1] or [2] ? ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 16:44, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Do you mean upload it myself and put it there? Stephenjh 21:13, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- Yes, so we can see the content and dispute about the previous deletion. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 21:22, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Can I use my photobucket account? Stephenjh 22:09, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- Why not. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 23:14, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
This was the image. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b290/stephenjh/gasram600.jpg Stephenjh 00:23, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hm then I have no idea why it was deleted. It doesn't seem that it violates some policy :-/ ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 15:08, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'm asking Angr why he did it. I will let you know what he answers. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 15:10, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've got a response from Angr: Because it was a picture used under a "fair use" claim that could be replaced by a freely licensed image. —Angr 15:11, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

- So if you have that freely licensed then image replace it, if don't then reupload image again, put there fair use statement and it will be ok. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 15:58, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for your time and help. Are you saying that I can re-upload the same image but under a different guise? i.e. 'fair use statement'? Basically, the photo is of an internal rifle part that is not readily accessible to everyone (including me). The photo was from a commercial website, using the image to show these spare parts that are for sale. They don't actually make the part, it was just a 'descriptive image'. It's not as easy to get images of internal rifle parts as Angr suggests, if it were, there would be more images like this on the web...which there aren't Stephenjh 18:18, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
Hi Stephenjh. I wasn't aware of those guidelines before. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I made the text after the titles smaller because I thought it looked cleaner on the page to have the writing credits and track times in the small size font. I did all the Genesis albums like that. If you think it should be changed back, you're welcome to revert my edits. Cheers. Robotman1974 22:11, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re Jeff Martin
Thanks for thanks and for fixing my typos :) cheers! --AusBruce 01:04, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Please clarify
Hi. I think you left the following unsigned message on my talk page yesterday:
"I'll permit your recent, independent, category removals for now. But, hopefully, you haven't promoted the 'edit war' that was settled sometime ago. Did you read the talk page? ¬¬¬¬"
Your message was tacked on to one side of an ongoing dialogue I am having with another user (my "adopter," whom I turn to for advice), and is entirely out-of-context for me. I don't know what categories, edit war, or talk page, you are refering to.
My goal is to productively contribute to WP, so I apologise if I overstep my bounds. Please let me know what you think I did wrong.
