[edit] MCP Band has been tagged for deletion
A tag has been placed on MCP Band, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- OriginalJunglist 21:21, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hekpme!
{{helpme}} I submited an article that was deleted. If it is possible, I would like to know what it was about the article that got it deleted.
- If you are talking about MCP Band, the reason was that the subject was not notable enough to be included into Wikipedia. You can have this information by going to the deleted page and click on the "deletion log" link that appears on top of the text box. I hope this was useful! Don't hesitate to put the helpme tag back if you need more information. -- lucasbfr talk 03:07, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
{{helpme}} Since the band i wrote about isn't notable enough for an article, is there any section of wikipedia where i could post the information i wrote in the article and not meet any criteria for deletion?
- Not really. Everything on Wikipedia is dedicated to building an encylopedia. Never worry however, the information in the article isn't lost. If at some point they do become notable (per WP:BAND) the article can become undeleted. If you have any more questions, let me know. ---J.S (T/C) 21:35, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
