I removed Irish Artist as part of my effort to keep that cat completely subcatted. Why Irish at all though, nothing in the article links this person to Ireland.Notjim 21:26, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Because the person concerned is also an Irish citizen. Please compare the category for Irish artists to other national categories for artists. It is very brief. --Sappo 06:02, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

If an artist holds more than one citizenship it is surely unnecessary to state this in the biography when a category listing is an indicator. If you think that everything should be sub-categorized under the heading, "Irish Artists", (and perhaps it is a good idea - although it is a subcategory of, "Irish Art") then why include any artists names at all under it - particularly when there are many notable names missing from that list? As for PS1 - why would you doubt it? The online archives at ps1.org do not go back that far but there are other notable links in the biography.--Sappo 16:36, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Well if you would like to help subcatting people in the irish artists category that would be great! It is a good way of check the new irish artist articles too and making sure they have some refs etc. As for the citizenship, I think it is always good if all the information is in the article.Notjim 13:53, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
