Steven Wild (April 26, 1981), is an English center or second row Rugby League Player, and currently plays for the Huddersfield Giants. Stephen signed for Wigan from local amateurs Wigan St. Pats. He joined Wigan's first team after progressing through the lower ranks at the club, making his debut in the 2001 Super League season. Whilst at Wigan, Stephen said former Wigan Alliance coach Billy McGinty has had the most influence on his career. He played both second row and in the centres. Stephen went to the same schools as Martin Aspinwall and Stuart Jones. Unfortunately, Stephen's 2003 season was hampered by a serious ankle ligament injury. He made only 9 appearances for the club and was rumoured to be leaving Wigan for a loan spell. However, he stayed at the Warriors for the 2004 season, saying: "All these stories about me leaving or going out on loan to another club have left me feeling a bit stressed, I'm just glad that it's all over so I can concentrate on my pre-season training and my attempt to get back into the first team on a more regular basis. Last season was a huge disappointment for me." Due to injuries, Stephen was switched to center early in the 2004 season. He was such a success in the position, he made it his own for the rest of the year. He did enough to earn a new two-year contract with the club in August 2004. However, Wild left Wigan at the end of the 2005 season, part way through the deal. His final appearance was against Huddersfield Giants, the club he later signed for. Stephen had played over 100 competitive matches for the Warriors. Stephen was selected for the Great Britain training squad in 2002 and got his call up to the full GB squad for the 2004 Tri-Nations Series, making a single substitute appearance. He has also represented Lancashire in the Origin matches.

In his spare time, he likes to play golf and plays snooker with Sean O'Loughlin, Stuart Jones and Martin Aspinwall. Steven Wild signed for Huddersfield Giants in 2005.
