Steven Smith is the head equipment manager for all of Division I Northeastern University's varsity sports teams except men's and women's hockey and field hockey. He oversees all equipment matters for 13 varsity sports, including men’s basketball and football.

A New Orleans native, Smith has over 15 years of experience in the sports equipment field, having worked for a variety of different teams. He has extensive experience in the Arena Football league and has worked in minor league baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer, as well as larger Division I schools, such as the University of Virginia. Smith attended McNeese State University where he studied mass communications. He and his wife, Camie, currently reside in Methuen, Massachusetts.
