Steven Sloane (born Los Angeles, United States of America, 1958) [1] is an American-born, British-based musical director.
In August 1999, the 41-year-old Sloane was appointed Music Director of Opera North. He remained in this position until 2002, when he became Music Director of the American Composers Orchestra in New York City.
His previous roles were with organisations including the Frankfurt Opera, Long Beach Opera and Tel Aviv Philharmonic Choir.
