Steven S. Smith

Steven S. Smith is an award winning journalist from Nebraska. Smith graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the early 1990's. He worked for the school newspaper, The "Daily Nebraskan" as a reporter, and upon graduation from the UNL, moved to California to further his career as a journalist. While in California, Smith contemplated switching from the local beat to being a sports reporter, however as he was going to make the switch he was drawn into a large murder case and decided to stay with local news.

Smith moved back to Lincoln to become an editor for the Lincoln Journal Star, and ended up becoming the Online Editor.

Among his most noticeable achievements is that he is also a published author, having written "Forever Red: Confessions of a Cornhusker Football Fan." His book was published by University of Nebraska Press in 2005.
