Steven Andrew

Steven Andrew is an Australian journalist born in Sydney, Australia and is best known for his work as an author and industrial relations news reporter.
News career
His career began in Sydney writing and editing local newspapers before moving to London, England, where he worked as a public relations account executive. On returning to Sydney in 1990, Andrew joined Edelman Public Relations before returning to a specialist’s writing role as managing editor of OHS titles for Newsletter Information Services in Sydney. He then moved to an in-house role as national communications manager for professional industry body The Australian Veterinary Association before launching his own PR firm SRA Communications in 1998 ([1]). Since 1998, Andrew has provided reporting and media management services to Thomson Legal and Regulatory Group, the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Waters in the US, CubiCal and Sydney’s Northern Beaches Visitor’s Association. He is the author of two books on corporate governance – Inside Employee Screening with senior partner at Harmers Workplace Lawyers Joydeep Hor, and Remuneration and Reward Strategies. Andrew is married with two children and lives in Sydney.

Andrew’s work has been recognised with a Royal Insurance Road Safety Journalism Award, Best New Story in the Australian Suburban Newspaper Association Award, Highly Commended in the Public Relations Institute of Australia awards and Semi-Finalist in the Financial Review-Telstra web site awards.
