Steve Wade

Steve Wade (died 22nd December 1956) was one of the United Kingdom's executioners from 1940 to 1955. He died in Doncaster Royal Infirmary from carcinoma of the stomach.

He worked as an assistant to Tom and Albert Pierrepoint on 31 occasions and carried out 28 executions in his own right. His last assignment was Alek Wilkinson, whom he and Robert Leslie Stewart hanged at Armley jail, Leeds on 12 August 1955.
