Steven Schuh was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2006. He serves along with fellow Republicans Don Dwyer, Jr. and Nicholaus R. Kipke in District 31, which is located in Anne Arundel County, MD. Schuh and Kipke defeated incumbant Joan Cadden, and took the seat left open by John R. Leopold who won election as County Executive for Anne Arundel County.

Schuh has an extensive Ivy League education with a B.A. from Dartmouth College, which he earned in 1982, and an M.B.A from Harvard University. He also earned as M.S degree from Johns Hopkins University..

Schuh is currently a managing member of Schuh Advisory, LLC. Formerly, he worked as Alex. Brown & Sons and Credit Suisse First Boston.

Active in his community, he is president of the Skywater Foundation, an organization that capitalizes on Maryland's Safe Haven Law, allowing parents of newborn children to give up their children for adoption and not fear legal consequences. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Chesapeake Academy and Severn School. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Chesapeake Arts Center[1]. Schuh is the Treasurer for the American Red Cross of Central Maryland and a charter member of The 100 Club of Anne Arundel County.

Within the Maryland House of Delegates, Schuh is a member of the important Appropriations Committee.

Among many issues, Schuh supports the Second Amendment, wants to strenghten immigration laws, creating a sound environment that will encourage business growth. He also has strong environmental leanings with his support of the protection of Maryland's waterways and clean air.[2]
