Steve Potts

Steven Potts (born 7 May 1967 in Hartford) is an American-born English former professional football (soccer) player. He played as a defender and is chiefly associated with his time spent at West Ham United.

Potts started his career at West Ham as an apprentice, making his first appearance in 1984. He played for the club for the next seventeen years, spending much time as captain and amassing a total of 399 appearances. His last appearance for the club was in 2001, although he stayed on until 2002.

Potts transferred to Dagenham & Redbridge in September 2002 and played there for a full season before retiring from football.
