Steve Parrish

Steve Parrish from Ashwell in Hertfordshire is a doyen of the British motor racing scene. He started out as a motorcycle racer, twice winning the British Motor Cycle Championship and finishing as high as 5th in the 1977 500cc world championship. He has been more successful in truck racing, guiding the front parts of huge transporters to 5 European titles.

After managing a successful Yamaha factory team in the British Superbike championship, he became the BBC's main motorbike racing commentator, working with figures such as Barry Nutley and later Charlie Cox. He is regularly given the opportunity to test racing bikes, both for real and in computer simulations to demonstrate circuit layouts and techniques. He is married to Ruth and has 2 children.

Steve is also a commentator for the Red Bull Air Race series.
