Steve Oedekerk

Steve Oedekerk (born November 27, 1961) is a T.V. & Film Director, Editor, Producer, Screen writer, Actor, & Stand-up Comic.
He was born in Los Angeles, California where he now lives with his wife and children.
Oedekerk was a top comedy writer for Fox in the late 80's and early 90's. There he befriended fellow comic Jim Carrey while working on "In Living Color."
After starring in "High Strung" he played Thane Furrows opposite Jim Carrey in "The Devil."
Because of his work on Ace Ventura: Pet Detective Oedekerk was given the green light to direct and write its sequel Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.
Other movies he has written include the 1996 remake of The Nutty Professor, Nothing To Lose, Patch Adams, Bruce Almighty , Evan Almighty & Kung Pow! Enter the Fist.
In 1990, he founded the entertainment company O Entertainment. He is also executive producer of the computer animated cartoon series "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron" on Nickelodeon. He wrote, produced, and directed the films Kung Pow! Enter the Fist, High Strung, and the animated feature film Barnyard: The Original Party Animals.
Oedekerk is currently hard at work creating a sequel to his film "Kung Pow: Enter the Fist" possibly entitled Kung Pow 2: Tongue of Fury.
Oedekerk also gained popularity with his series of "Thumbmation" shorts: Thumb Wars, Bat Thumb, The GodThumb, Frankenthumb, The Blair Thumb and Thumbtanic. Oedekerk also beat uncle Joey (Dave Coulier) in the "Star Search" episode of Full House.
