Steven Kabba (born 7 March 1981 in Lambeth, U.K.) is a professional football player of Sierra Leonean origin who currently plays for Watford. His main attributes as a striker are his speed and quality of finishing.

[edit] Career

Kabba started his career at Crystal Palace but struggled to get into the team, making just 11 appearances in 4 seasons and scoring 1 goal. He was loaned out to Luton Town in 2001-02 making 3 appearances as a substitute but it was during another loan spell at Grimsby Town the following season that he finally made his mark with 6 goals in 14 games.

Shortly after his loan spell finished, Kabba joined Sheffield United in November 2002 for £250,000. In his first season his 11 goals in 33 games assisted the team in reaching two domestic cup semi-finals and the Division 1 play off final.

After this successful first season his career was interrupted by a sequence of leg injuries allowing him just one appearance as a substitute in over a year. He returned to fitness at the end of 2004-5 Football League Championship season.

On December 22, 2006, Kabba was placed on the transfer list along with 7 other players.[1] He joined Watford for an initial fee of £500,000 (which is expected to rise to £750,000) on 26 January 2007, after signing a two and a half year contract.[2] He never started a Premiership games for the Blades, his last appearance being as a substitute against West Ham United in November 2006.

On January 31, 2007 he played his first Premiership match for Watford against Manchested United [3]
