Police Constable Steve Hunter is a character from the long running ITV drama The Bill. PC Hunter arrived at Sun Hill in June 2004 and finally left in April 2006 to transfer to Leeds due to problems in the relationship between himself and his brother who is also at Sun Hill, DS Phil Hunter.

Steve's character was the complete opposite from his brother Phil's. While Phil was a philanderer, Steve didn't lose his virginity until after joining Sunhill, when he then had sex with PC Amber Johannsen in the toilets of a bar.

However, in the end, Steve proved to be less trustworthy than everyone had previously thought, as he slept with his brother's pregnant girlfriend. Phil and he fought after this, and their already strained relationship was never recovered.

After an accident, Steve asked Phil if he wanted him to leave Sun Hill. When Phil didn't reply, Steve felt it was time to move on.
